In the continued efforts by the Government to achieve the plan as per the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), H.E. President William Samoei Ruto visited the Nyanza region to launch and inspect key projects. The initiatives reflect BETA’s focus on Agriculture, Energy, Infrastructure, Housing and Settlement, aimed to improve livelihoods and foster economic development. These projects include the Lake Basin Development Authority, Rice Mill Project which will boost Agriculture, the Mageta Island Solar Grid for better Energy access, and the Siaya Integrated Modern Market Hub set to enhance market infrastructure for over 1,000 vendors. Additionally, the groundbreaking of the Lumumba Estate, Affordable Housing Project will provide 2,384 housing units, supporting better living conditions.
