In 2008, Marion Gathoga was appointed Country Director of Cadbury Kenya and East Africa, a position she held until 2012. She then moved on to Unga Group Limited as General Manager, and subsequently moved on to Parmalat.
She is currently the managing director of BOC Gases having served as the head of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Kenya until July 2018. She has steadily climbed the corporate ladder having started as a marketing trainee, managing Maggi and Milo promotions for Nestlé Foods (Kenya) Ltd.
Gathoga is also one of the 10 trustees of the Palm House Foundation — an education trust dedicated to mentorship – where she serves as the mentorship director. She worked at Bayer Consumer Care for 10 years first as a product manager, and then as commercial director for manufacturing before rising to the position of General Manager. She joined Cadbury Kenya from Zambia where she was Director of Sales and Marketing at Circle Pharmaceuticals. She was also the technical expert on the International Finance Corporation (IFC) project which was financed by the
Development Bank of South Africa. She holds a master’s degree in Strategic Management. She also acquired a Bachelor of Science in International Business Administration from United States International University.
Gathoga was among the many women feted by Kraft Foods with their award dubbed the Delicious Difference Award for her extraordinary year-round commitment to volunteering.
